Cooperative Preschool Teaching Opportunities

1. Preschool Teaching Position Open

Willowcreek Cooperative Preschool is looking for a preschool teacher starting immediately. Our school has been serving families in the Castleton area for over 50 years. The children's educational program emphasizes "Learning through Play."

Play-Based Curriculum:

• Supports the development of the whole child - socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
• Allows for the recognition of each child's unique learning style, abilities, and developmental level.
• Allows for hands-on learning, where the curriculum can emerge from the children's interests, needs and desires. Learning becomes concrete and meaningful.

Requirements & Benefits:

• Early childhood education a plus.
• Meets 3 days a week, 2 - 3 hours a day.
• Classes begin Sept. 8th, 2009.
• New teacher training through ICPC.
• Continued education for teachers through a monthly Teacher Study Group.

2. Northeast Cooperative Preschool and Kindergarten 3/4's Class Teacher Needed for 2010-2011 School Year

Prior teaching experience helpful, but not necessary. Knowledge of cooperative preschool philosophy is a plus

Class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.
